Celebrate American Flowers Week!
You've heard of farm-to-table, but have you heard of field-to-vase? That is the essence of American Flowers Week - which happens every year from June 28th through July 4th. AFW is a celebration of American grown flowers and the farmers who cultivate them, like us here at Stargazer Barn. Knowing that your flowers are grown in America (which helps both our economy and the freshness and durability of your flowers) is a potent reassurance at time of purchase. Even better when you know the farm fresh flowers you order come directly from the people who grow them -- we don’t source our flowers from other farms, states, or countries -- we grow them, from seed and from bulb, in our own backyard.
Enjoying a colorful variety of farm-fresh American grown flowers in original, creative arrangements is just the beginning of the American Grown experience. Why not celebrate this week with something that pleases the palate as well as the eye and nose? As dedicated farmer-florists, we know our customers, which is why we offer more than just a fantastic farm-fresh floral experience. We have gathered together our neighborhood artisans and craftsman to offer additional American-grown and made gifts that pair nicely with a bouquet -- for example, the bouquet of a well-crafted red or white wine.
Exceptional wine and flowers should be paired with something equally as delectable, like a full round of Cypress Grove's 'Humboldt Fog' ripened goat milk cheese. This “Original American Original” chevre is handcrafted using traditional methods by our neighbor down the road, Cypress Grove, and its award-winning distinctive flavor is sure to become one of your favorites!
Another single-origin treat that pairs beautifully with wine almost needs no introduction - Chocolate, of course. But not just any chocolate will do for this experience, only the best will suffice. For this occasion, savor a bar of American-made, bean-to-bar chocolate from chocolatiers, Dick Taylor Chocolate.
All of these American Made gift options (and more!) make great celebratory items for American Flowers Week! As the nation rises up to recognize Flower Farmers around the country - from California to Maine and elsewhere in between - join in and celebrate with American Grown flowers.
